Minimum Qualifications:

Requires at least a baccalaureate degree in the field. Please contact your Human Resources office for an evaluation of education/experience in lieu of the required minimum qualifications.

Preferred Qualifications:

This position works with a variety of technologies to provide solutions, currently including:
SQL Server relational database technologies
Experience with JavaScript and jQuery library
Experience with Cascade Style Sheet and responsive design
Experience with Business Intelligence software such as QlikView, Tableau, Microsoft Power BI, etc.
Experience with Microsoft Excel
PMP Certification is preferred, but required within one year of employment.

3 years experience in Information Technology/Business Analysis environment.

The individual should have a demonstrated ability to work between internal software clients and skilled IT departmental resource staff to translate project functional requirements between the two

Position Summary:

This position will serve as the project manager for the deployment of the Public Service and Outreach (PSO) commercial software Destiny Solutions, as well as the processes of selection, procurement, management, and support of future PSO commercial software applications across PSO.

This position provides leadership and strategic direction for PSO units by providing analysis in the procurement of commercial software, as well as providing technical support, training, documentation, and ad hoc reporting for these software(s) across PSO units using a variety of business analytics software tools.

This position is responsible to work with PSO units to maintain data warehouse information and provide report using SQL queries, web services, and application program interfaces (APIs) as needed, working with other IT professionals and subject matter experts (SMEs) within PSO units.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies:

PMP Certification or desired within one year of employment.

Experience working and providing solutions with the following technologies:
SQL Server relational database technologies
Experience with JavaScript and jQuery library
Experience with Cascade Style Sheet and responsive design
Experience with Business Intelligence software such as QlikView, Tableau,
Microsoft Power BI, etc.
Experience with Microsoft Excel
Experience with Project Management Tools (Ex. MS Project).

Demonstrated experience leading projects and project teams including project planning and execution.

Demonstrated skill in enterprise application business administration (Ex. configuring system for client needs, maintaining accounts, creating and maintaining views/reports, supporting clients through various assistance methods).

Demonstrated experienced in data extraction, aggregation, and reporting to diverse user communities.

Demonstrated skill in project management frameworks, creating and maintaining project plans, and providing project management administrative support to clients.

Demonstrated experience with database systems and database structures in enterprise-class tools.

Excellent written, oral, and facilitation communication skills.

Able to demonstrate the acquisition of new technical skills, and to apply those skills in the development of measurement solutions and to effectively share new knowledge with colleagues.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Serve as the project manager for the analysis, selection, procurement, deployment, and training/support for various PSO commercial software acquisitions:

- Apply formal project management principles and practices during the planning, implementation, monitoring and completion of projects
– Create detailed project plans for completion of tasks that consider schedules, dependencies, institutional priorities, and resource limitations and conflicts
– Coordinate efforts of project teams to facilitate cooperation and prevent delays
– Develop and maintain standard project management documentation, such as project charters, project plans, timeline visuals, risk registers, issues logs, meeting agendas and summaries, and project status reports
– Proactively oversee project execution by following up on the completion of tasks, reporting potential delays to management, and coordinate problem resolution efforts in the event of technical difficulties.
-– Handle p-card purchases and other financial responsibilities to support specific PSO strategic initiatives.

Provide user support and problem resolutions for PSO software applications:

- Conduct business analysis to manage project scope and to ensure that institutional needs are being met
– Solicit business requirements from key stakeholders and liaison between technical and functional team members to ensure that deliverables are completed according to specifications
– Develop and maintain business analysis documentation such as business cases, business process diagrams, requirements, and systems and architecture diagrams
– Facilitate and/or assist in development of test plans and testing documentation within project teams and oversee test plan execution
– Facilitate and/or assist in development of training plans and training documentation within project teams and oversee test plan execution

– Lead or attend regular meetings to update leadership, staff, clients, and the UGA community on the progress of projects

– Develop and facilitate formal presentations to project stakeholders when needed
