Lecturer Pool-City & Regional Planning - College of Environmental Design
The Department of City and Regional Planning at UC Berkeley invites applications for a pool of qualified temporary, part-time lecturers to teach courses in the undergraduate and graduate Urban Studies and Master of City Planning programs. Screening of applicants is ongoing. The number of available positions varies from semester to semester (fall, spring and summer), depending upon the needs of the department. Semester positions range from 11% to 67% and typically start at the beginning of the semester. Starting salary is commensurate with highest degree, work experience, teaching experience, and equity within the Department. This pool will remain open until December 31, 2020 to accommodate upcoming department needs. Those interested in remaining in the pool beyond that date will need to reapply.

General Duties: In addition to teaching responsibilities, general duties include holding office hours, assigning grades, advising students, preparing course materials (e.g., syllabus), and using Cal's electronic resources for course management.

Basic qualifications: Applicants must hold a Bachelor's degree, or equivalent international degree, at time of application.

Preferred Qualifications: Advanced degree (Master's degree or equivalent international degree).
