- Assists librarians and discipline faculty in the delivery of instruction services i.e. reference service, ask-a-librarian, embedded services, instructional support, Virtual College and online servicesOperates, manages, and supervises multiple service areas in Learning Resources in a manner consistent with educational standards and college-wide policies and proceduresInforms and assists students in meeting faculty and departmental requirements and recording progress in the library, academic laboratories, or other learning resources programs as neededProvides instructional support to students in accessing academic software, subject databases, materials and discipline tutorials used in learning resources areasProvides technical support to discipline faculty involved in the college-wide evaluation and selection of instructional software, hardware, materials (print and non-print) for a program of studyCoordinates and implements outreach activities to promote Learning Resources services including social media Provides guidance, trains, and assists in the professional development of staff and part-time personnelAssists in the development of tests, surveys and other assessment instruments for the library, academic laboratories or other Learning Resources areasAnalyzes statistical data, prepares college-wide reports, and keeps accurate, up-to-date recordsRecommends instructional software applications and equipment for library/learning resources and computer laboratory areasParticipates in college-wide workgroups to recommend policies and procedures for learning resources functions and servicesMaintains, manages and processes materials and equipment in the collection inventory

- Bachelor’s degree in related field and three (3) years of work experience in an academic setting; or Associate’s degree and seven (7) years of work experience in an academic setting
- All degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office, departmental software applications and basic research methodology Knowledge and understanding of College organization, goals and objectives, and policies and procedures
- Proficient knowledge of educational technology including installation and use of hardware and software Proficient knowledge about all aspects of Learning Resources services: reference services, instructional support services and service desk functions: circulation, reserves, serials, and interlibrary loan Proficient verbal and written communication skillsAbility to speak effectively before groups of students, faculty and staffAbility to multi-task and prioritizeKnowledge and understanding of training and education principlesSkilled in project management and able to meet deadlinesAbility to read and interpret documents and procedure manualsAbility to analyze and summarize data and write reportsAbility to speak effectively before groups of usersAbility to supervise others and make decisionsAbility to solve problems and think criticallyAbility to maintain effective interpersonal relations with students, faculty and administration and to work collaboratively
