Summary

The Program Manager is a full-time professional position reporting to the Executive Director of the Cowen Institute and the Director of Development, Corporate and Foundation Relations. The Cowen Institute and Corporate and Foundations Relations Office oversees the relationships, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of the University's highest priority prospects.

 

The Program Manager's primary responsibility is to coordinate the fundraising efforts of the Cowen Institute, including the institute's annual fund program, donor and prospect communications, and stewardship activities. This includes coordinating, executing and prioritizing strategies, as well as managing the calendars, schedules, itineraries, travel plans/logistics, and follow up work. This position also supports the development activities of the President Emeritus and the Cowen Institute's leadership. The Program Manager will interface with high-level donors and prospects to arrange appointments and solicit gifts.

 

The Program Manager's primary focus will be the administrative support for the travel and development activities for the [Cowen Institute, including the Executive Director of the Cowen Institute.

 

The position serves as a liaison to the Cowen Institute for development-related activities. The Program Manager will draft debriefing memos, ensure that contact reports are timely entered in the department database, and share updated strategies with the appropriate parties.

 

The position will assist in other projects as assigned including logistics and coordination of Cowen Institute events and assisting with communications efforts, including social media. This position will also provide support on activities related to the university's ongoing comprehensive campaign.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and 3 years' experience in institutional advancement/development, providing advanced level administrative support, or program management. Transferable experience such as marketing, public relations, sales, admissions, alumni relations, or experience working with high level executives, politicians, or high net-worth individuals may be considered
 

OR

 

  • High school diploma or equivalent and 9 years' direct experience
