DescriptionJob Purpose: Direct the contract management andproject team activities for one or more large complex capital building projectsfrom inception to final completion. Responsible for setting employee goals,assessing performance, providing feedback, and making pay recommendations.

Major Responsibilities:

Oversee the development and negotiations leading to major building projects.

Oversee preparation of RFQ/RFP leading to A& E contracts, construction contracts, design-build contracts and other consulting and construction agreements.

Review proposals and recommend contract awards.

Manage the design and construction phases of assigned projects.

Administer project budgets and schedules.

Prepares and presents construction progress reports.

Plan, supervise and evaluate performance of assigned project managers.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience

Work Experience: Six to eight years job related experience.

Certifications: Valid Driver's License

Skills: This job requires advanced knowledge the principles and processes associated with construction engineering. Ability in negotiation, contract administration, project management, communications, budgeting, and use of standard and specialized computer applications is required.
