DescriptionJob Purpose: Coordinate and deliver administrative and operational support for Education Abroad programs and staff. Major Responsibilities:
QualificationsPreferred Qualifications:
1. Coordinate events, including the annual GT Study Abroad Fair, as requested for Education Abroad which could include: plan logistics, make/coordinate space reservations and arrangements, register participants, recruit students, manage budget, arrange guest speakers, order catering, coordinate visitors, and plan orientations, etc. Coordinate promotional/publicizing efforts in conjunction with event and maintain associated records.
2. Non-GT Program, International Academic Projects and General Advising: Meet with students concerning general questions and issues regarding various aspects of their study abroad program. This includes initial front desk triage to individual meetings with walk-in students, or students who only require general information. 3. Education Abroad Program Application support: Application management through Terra Dotta, insurance ordering, Financial Aid verification and disciplinary checks. 4. Serve as social media coordinator. Work with the Associate Director and the Marketing Specialist in designing social media strategy and implement the campaign steadily; stay abreast of new developments in social technology, and work in conjunction with overall marketing plan to enhance recruitment and communication with students.
5. Other duties as assigned by the Associate Director of Education Abroad.
Impact & Influence: This position will interact on a regular basis with: faculty, staff, students, and parents. This position typically will advise and counsel: students. This position will supervise: NA

- Coordinate events and meetings for Education Abroad to include scheduling, reservations, arrangements, and logistics.
- Support the transient application process through response to prospective inquires and maintaining applicant records.
- Advise GT students interested in participating in non-GT study abroad programs.
- Assist with marketing efforts including social media outreach and coordination of communications through appropriate media outlets.
- Coordinate hiring of faculty and staff working for affiliated faculty-led study abroad programs.
- Compile, organize and analyze data for use in reports and maintain associated databases.
- Provide administrative support services for Education Abroad staff and office as needed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Education or related field
- Work Experience: Two to three years job related experience
- Certifications: N/A
- Skills: International work or life experience, strong written and verbal communication skills along with the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external audiences, flexibility, and strong problem-solving skills
QualificationsPreferred Qualifications:
- Preferred Education: N/A
- Preferred Work Experience: Experience working in event planning, data reporting/management, and study abroad. Experience working in a university environment and with students, faculty, and administrators.
- Preferred Certifications: N/A
- Preferred Skills: Experience with Terra Dotta, Filemaker Pro, and/or experience working with databases. Experience with Adobe suite, desktop publishing software, and Excel.
