The Director of Strategic Planning will work with Vice Dean of Finance and Administration and other senior staff to develop, implement, and monitor the School’s $550 million annual operating budget and long term financial forecast. This position is responsible for providing high-level analytical support to the financial management of the School and is responsible for the development and implementation of school-level strategic projects aimed at enhancing the financial and operational health of the School. The Director of Strategic Planning will have full management responsibility for two Associate Directors and one Senior Financial Analyst as well as indirect management responsibility for approximately 40 business administrators. This position will be the primary School contact to the University Budget Office and will work closely with other central functions such as Facilities and Real Estate Services and the University Office of Finance and Treasurer.
Qualifications:
MBA degree required and 7 to 10 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Candidate must have extensive experience in budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning for a large higher education institution. Strong analytical skills with experience in financial analysis and business operations essential. Experience supervising others required. Advanced user skills with Excel and database software. Strong interpersonal skills is a must as this position has frequent interaction with staff and faculty at many levels throughout Wharton and the University.
