General Statement of Responsibilities

1. Operate and manage media equipment for IP classrooms.
2. Set-up and delivery of media equipment.
3. Various duties as assigned.
4. Training will be given on operation of equipment.

Supervision Received: Works under general supervision of Media Specialist II. May take direction and assignments from faculty and staff in Media Services.

Supervision Exercised: None

Examples of Duties - Essential Functions

1. Turing on the projectors and monitoring the cameras during classes.
2. Passing out and receiving student paperwork.
3. Turning off equipment and locking doors when class is over.

Specific Duties:
1. Laminating projects.
2. Monitoring cameras in control room.

Screening Criteria

Education:
1. Must be enrolled at RCC in at least 6 credits and have a cumulative 2.0 GPA.
2. Completion of CS-120 and above is preferred.

Experience:
Prior computer experience preferred.

Knowledge of:
Computer experience

Ability to:
1. Operate and manage media equipment.
2. Pass a criminal background check.

Physical Demands of Position: (for non-manual positions) Manual dexterity and coordination are required for more than half of the daily work period (about 50%) which is spent sitting while operating office equipment such as computers, keyboards, 10-key, telephones, and other standard office equipment. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, reach, bend, kneel, stoop, twist, crouch, climb, balance, see, talk, hear, and manipulate objects. The position requires some mobility including the ability to move materials less than 5 lbs. daily and 5-25 lbs. occasionally. This position requires both verbal and written communication abilities. The physical demands listed above represent those that must be met by an incumbent to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Working Conditions: While performing the duties of this position, the employee is primarily working indoors in an office environment. The employee is not exposed to hazardous conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and lighting is adequate.
