The Alexandria Campus of NOVA (Northern Virginia Community College) is seeking adjunct instructors to begin in January, 2020. We offer a 4-level comprehensive academic ESL program which prepares students for college-level courses. Our levels range from intermediate through advanced, and our students represent the diverse community of the close-in Washington, D.C., suburbs. We support our adjuncts by supplying syllabi, materials, and assessments. If you have experience teaching adults or young adults in an academic setting and are familiar with student-centered methods and integrating technology in your teaching, please consider joining our team.

Adjuncts may teach 5 or 10 credits per semester (1 to 2 classes). Classes are available from early morning through evening.

Masters degree (in any field) + 18 graduate credits in TESOL/Applied Linguistics (or related field)

Significant experience teaching in a diverse urban community college setting preferred.
