Sign Language Interpreter – part time

Duties:Provides ASL/English interpretation for:
ASL instructors for courses during fall, spring, and summer semesters (some courses only occasionally, some ongoing), also for office hours for ASL faculty members, for ASL Interpretation Program faculty members for on-campus events (e.g. orientation program, department and other meetings, CTL classes, student club meetings, program presentations, etc.), for on-call availability in the ASL Interpretation Lab.
Valid IL Interpreter license with Advanced or Master level proficiency. RID Certification preferred. Four plus years of post-secondary interpreting experience preferred.

Position Status:Part Time
Hours:Variable with a minimum of 10 hours per week; with possible evening hours; additional hours may be required at times.
