Job Summary

This position is responsible for assisting with the orientation programing for incoming students.

Major Duties

•Attend and participate in training sessions

•Be actively involved in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of Orientation sessions

•Be a point of contact between prospective students and GSC before, during, and after orientation sessions

•Welcome new students and families to the college, assist with orientation check-in process, facilitate guided tours, lead small group activities, and participate in presentations (on-stage or off-stage) during orientation sessions [5/27, 6/12, 6/16 (5pm start time), 6/20, 6/25, 7/14 (half-day), 7/18, 7/24, 8/5 (half-day), 8/11 (half-day)]

•Assist various GSC departments and offices as needed

Compensation
•$9.00 – 9.25 Per hour
•Free Housing in the residence halls for the summer
•May take 1 summer class at a time, if it does not interfere with orientation sessions

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements

•Be a full-time, degree seeking undergraduate student and completed 12 credit hours at Gordon State College

•Be in good academic and judicial standing with GSC; minimum 2.5 GPA

•Must complete the application and references by January 13, 2020
