Job Description:

The Employer Partnerships Coordinator reports to the Director of Internships and Career Development in the Division of Professional Studies. The Employer Partnerships Coordinator actively solicits and cultivates partnerships with area employers. This includes corporate, non-profit, small business, and civic and cultural organizations. The Employer Partnerships Coordinator will act as the first point of contact for potential internship sites and potential student employers. In this external facing role, the Employer Partnerships Coordinator will represent the College out in the community and leverage connections to bring opportunities to the Internships and Career Development team.

  • Conduct direct outreach to solicit new and strengthen relationships with partners/perspective partners
  • Actively seek corporate, non-profit, small business, civic and other partners who demonstrate equity and diversity in hiring practices and operations
  • Cultivate recurring internship opportunities with area businesses and community organizations
  • Administer career search online platform (GradLeaders)
  • Collaborate and consult faculty for technical expertise in their fields of study as it relates to student career development
  • Collaborate across college departments to provide focused employer partnership recruitment efforts
  • Act as first point of contact for employer referrals from other college personnel
  • Screen employers to determine, along with supervisor, appropriate level of engagement
  • Attend departmental and program advisory board meetings to stay abreast of industry needs and develop professional contacts
  • Manage relationships with current/prospective partners, by attending industry events and share important employer outlook and company trends with program staff and faculty
  • Provide support, as needed, to other initiatives in the Career Development and Internships Department
  • Organize on-campus events that connect employers with students (Career Fairs, Networking Events, Luncheons)
  • Expand opportunities for students to engage with employers in pre-employment phases (e.g. job site visits, internships)
  • Contribute to the marketing strategies to support the promotion of the Department, including creating content for web, print and e-mail communications
  • Contribute to program development and evaluation
  • Share student employment opportunities with appropriate faculty and staff

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, , Communications or closely related field; with 3 years of experience and/or training in any combination of career counseling, human resource management, recruitment, sales marketing and public relations; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Ability to effectively market and represent a program to employers across broad industries
  • Collaborative, self-directed, outcome-oriented, and strong customer service presence
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, creative thinking, and communication skills
  • Evidence of relationship-building or project management skills
  • Attention to detail; ability to learn and utilize new internet-based recruiting and computer technologies
  • Ability to relate and understand the needs of a diverse student population and work effectively with a broad range of internal and external constituent
  • Proven ability to work with a diverse faculty, staff and student population

Preferred Qualification:

  • Master's degree preferred

Additional Information:

Salary Range: $49,711.00 - 55,000.00 Actual Salary Will Be Commensurate With Education and Experience in Accordance with MCCC/MTA Collective Bargaining Agreement. Full state Benefits.

Grade: 4, Unit-Professional position
