The University of North Texas (UNT) Student Health and Wellness center is a full service medical center offering general wellness and specialty medical care to all UNT students. The Student Health and Wellness Center is staffed with licensed physicians, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, certified lab technologists, psychiatrists, registered nurses, registered dietitians, radiology technicians, and massage therapists.

Job Description The Health & Wellness Department at the University of North Texas is seeking to hire a PRN LVN to join our team. Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

* Provide nursing care to patients at the UNT Student Health and Wellness Center, including assessing and evaluating patients.
* Facilitating exams by a medical provider, and showing general competency, proficiency, and responsibility toward nursing duties and equipment.

Minimum Qualifications The successful candidate will possess the following Current Texas licensed vocational nurse and one year of LVN experience in a hospital, clinic, or private physician practice. The following knowledge, skills, and abilities are required:

* Knowledge of medications, their use, and means of administration.
* Practical working knowledge of nursing procedures, methods, and techniques.
* Ability to perform nursing duties while standing or walking for long period of time.
* Knowledge of safety and security precautions appropriate to work performed.

Required: Texas Nursing License, ability to maintain CPR certification. Preferred Qualifications The preferred candidate will possess the following additional qualifications:
