Job Summary

The College of Public Health is currently seeking a Grant Program Coordinator Senior to support the post-award grant process.

This position will serve as the lead for post-award grants administration including tracking and troubleshooting problems with new and existing grants accountability standards and regulations. Gather and maintain accounting records on all active extramural and intramural grants and contracts in the college.

Will work with Principal Investigators to establish and maintain contracts, subawards, and memorandums of agreements according to university accounting regulations and cost account standards. Will coordinate with Payroll on hiring of extramural grant-funded faculty members and staff.

Will assist Grants Financial Analysts with account re-budgeting, monthly reconciliations, and account close out. Other responsibilities include budget tracking as well as reporting to principal investigators on expenses and available budget.

The Grant Program Coordinator Senior will work with the Business Office and the Assistant Dean for Research with the ongoing training of employees working with sponsored projects to ensure they are trained at the highest skill level achievable.

The position will also interpret and enforce university policies and procedures, rules and regulations, and consistency with best practices as related to grants management.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

An ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in university accounting and procurement policies, procedures, regulations and cost accounting standards; high attention to detail, analytical ability and problem solving skills. A candidate should have experience coaching and developing others and have strong written and verbal communication skills.

Department prefers a Master’s degree plus five or more years of related experience.
