Position Summary

As the Jr. Systems Administrator you will be working closely with Steinhardt Systems and Security to provide basic Systems Administration and level technical support in the designs, development, installation, and maintenance of Steinhardt Systems and services including hardware and software for all servers and desktop workstations. You will also be providing Tier 3 support to Steinhardt's technical support team and community. Basic network troubleshooting. Collaborate and coordinate on various projects with internal groups and departments, including NYU Central IT

Qualifications

Required Education:Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Information TechnologyRequired Experience:2+ years relevant experience or equivalent combination.Preferred Experience:MCSA (Microsoft Certified Solution Associates) or MCSE (Microsoft Certified Solution Expert); CompTIA A+ (Certified P.C Technician) preferred.Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Knowledge of Windows and Macs Operating Systems, Experience administering Windows Server or Linux environment's, Basic Networking experience, working understanding of DNS, Active Directory.
