Lafayette College is seeking a Network Systems Administrator to join the Digital Infrastructure group. The Network Systems Administrator manages, maintains, configures, and monitors on-premises and cloud-based network systems, as well as participates in day-to-day network operations, including responding to routine service requests, operational tasks, and incident response and troubleshooting.  This position will work closely with colleagues to ensure robust network services operations and availability. 

Description of Duties

• Responsible for the availability, performance, security, and maintenance of on-premises and cloud-based network systems
• Maintain and operate network services such as DNS, DHCP, and NAC
• Maintain and operate enterprise monitoring services such as Nagios
• Maintain and operate wireless networking services such as Aruba Airwave and Aruba Clearpass
• Administration of VOIP services
• Available for on-call and for off-hours maintenance.
• Provides Level 2 support for tickets escalated from Level 1 Help Desk. 

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline or at least 2 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of experience, training, and education.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Working knowledge of Windows and Linux system administration
• Working knowledge of foundational networking principles, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, HTTPS, etc.
• Troubleshooting basic wired and wireless network problems

• Inverse Packetfence
• eZuce OpenUC VoIP
• DHCP, DNS & IP Planning  (Infoblox or Active Directory)
