DescriptionReporting to the Director of Finance & Accounting for Information Technology Services, the Financial Manager provides direct support to Telecommunications in assisting the Director with the financial management of the department’s $16 million annual operating budget. The incumbent will create and maintain purchase orders, agreements, process invoices & receivables, deposit cash receipts, create journal entries, monitor & track inventory, assist Director on managing Temple’s corporate liable cellular program, provide other financial support as directed and act as backup in Director’s absence. Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Education & Experience:Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or other related field. At least three (3) years of working experience in the Information Technology or Telecommunications industry. Must have experience in working with large data sets. Demonstrated experience with applicable financial and budgeting principles as well as financial reporting. Experience with Microsoft Office programs with proficiency with MS Excel. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Preferred:* Experience working with University information systems (Banner Finance, Cognos, etc.)* Experience in reviewing vendors’ telephone bills for accuracy and monitoring service utilization* Experience using Pinnacle Tele- Management system* Advanced experience using Excel (Vlookup, Pivot-tables, etc.)
