Job SummaryThe person in this position will provide patient scheduling, patient registration and exceptional customer service for patients, visitors, vendors, and the community at large accessing services at the UK Dental Clinic in (Marshall County) Benton, KY.
The successful candidate occasionally provide 4 handed dental assisting.
Skills / Knowledge / AbilitiesMust have excellent computer skills and previous reception or front-desk experience in a dental or medical office working with adults, children, and special needs patients. Attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work in a busy environment. Excellent customer service to all internal and external customers. Computer experience including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? NoPreferred Education/ExperienceCandidate with knowledge of dental terminology and procedures, billing procedures, and knowledge of electronic clinical patient management software system preferred.
Proven experience working with internal and external customers in a positive and professional manner preferred.
Medical/Dental Office and dental assisting experience preferred.

Research
In fiscal year 2016, the University of Kentucky was awarded $316.5 million in external grants and contracts. UK is one of only eight universities across the country with the full range of undergraduate, graduate, professional and medical programs on one contiguous campus, leading to groundbreaking discoveries and unique cross-disciplinary research and scholarship.
