Departmental Overview
The Re-entry Student Program (RSP) provides individualized services to students 25 and older who are also often transfer students, student parents, student veterans, formerly incarcerated or system impacted, who historically come from underserved backgrounds such as underrepresented, low income, first-generation college students. RSP programs and services include scholarship opportunities, credit-bearing courses, individual strategic advising and problem-solving counseling, service learning internships, peer mentorship, information and referral resources, academic enrichment workshops, and community-building events.
The Program Coordinator performs responsibilities that include academic and resource needs assessment, counseling of students to enable access to campus and community-based services, financial aid counseling, instruction of credit-bearing courses, and addressing academic and non-academic barriers to student academic success. Incumbent serves as the lead staff member responsible for student academic counseling to help students better balance their academic workload with personal and professional responsibilities. Incumbent also develops support systems that promote student success, academic achievement, and better engagement with the university thereby promoting overall professional success.

The annual salary range of the position is $64,000- $67,000, commensurate with experience
