Job Details
Conduct application review and selection for assigned programs; perform functional responsibilities as assigned: meet established numerical and qualitative goals.
Position/Job Responsibilities1.Review applications of prospective students and recommend to the Director appropriate admission decisions; pursue necessary follow-up or support activity for admission committee and financial aid. Meet established criteria and goals for admission decisions; complete review in timely manner.
2.Develop an in-depth knowledge of assigned review areas. Meet established numerical and qualitative goals.
3.Develop and demonstrate a multicultural awareness and contribute to cultivating an inclusive, diverse and respectful College community. Demonstrate civil and inclusive behavior when interacting with staff, faculty, students and visitors to the College. Promote a flexible, collaborative and inclusive work and living environment and engage in educational opportunities to increase awareness and understanding of diversity and inclusion.
4.Establish and maintain personal contact by correspondence and telephone with school counselors and other high school staff as needed to complete review of admission applications.
5.Provide reports and analysis of specific areas of responsibility as requested.
6.Execute responsibilities in a manner consistent with the service philosophy and orientation of the Admission Office.
Bachelor’s degree and previous admission or related experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience; strong interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills; attention to detail and organizational skills; and the ability to effectively work and interact respectfully within a diverse and inclusive environment; in-depth knowledge of various word-processing, spreadsheet and database software applications; demonstrated commitment to quality teamwork and a high level of initiative and motivation are required.
