Job Summary

The College of Social Sciences Social Work at Eastern Washington University invites applications for an EWU Recruitment & Retention Specialist for their Family Resource and Training Center (FRTC).

The EWU Recruitment & Retention Specialist is to serve as a leader to provide coordination and sustainability of the statewide recruitment and retention of Resource Families. They will have statewide responsibility for the Statewide Recruitment plan, regional recruitment plans and RPM program.

This position will supervise and support Recruitment Coordinators throughout the State of Idaho. Collaboration, marketing, coordination, data collection, communication and reporting will be major duties of the job.

This position will be under the direction of the Family Resource & Training Center located in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. However, it will be located in Central office in Boise, Idaho. This position will require the selected candidate to travel as needed to fulfill the position job duties, up to 20% of work time approximately. Travel will occur throughout the state and will include multi-day/overnight trips. Travel will be required for supervision, training purposes, and multi-day conferences. Monthly travel may be required to attend meetings and/or fulfill other work related functions.

Conditions of Employment

This is a 100% administrative exempt position funded under a grant contract. Continuation of the position is contingent on availability of contract funding.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree (any field) and a minimum of three years experience in social services.
  • Organizational leadership and/or program development experience.
  • Recruitment and Marketing experience.
  • Strong data, writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong leadership and/or supervisory skills.
  • Strong computer skills including programs such as Excel, Word, Outlook, Publisher, and database.
  • Ability to travel as described in the Conditions of Employment, as needed, up to 20%.
Preferred Qualifications
  • At least two years supervisory experience.
  • Five or more years experience in social services.
  • Child welfare experience, including understanding the responsibilities associated with child welfare systems.

Recruitment:

  • Work with Recruitment Coordinators on regional recruitment efforts.
  • Cultivate relationships to promote Resource Family recruitment and support.
  • Develop, execute and track a statewide recruitment plan.
  • Support Regional Coordinators to develop and execute regional recruitment plans.
  • Develop and support recruitment campaigns that include presentations, attendance at booths for fairs, stores, targeted mailing, website, media marketing and social media platforms.
  • Provide ideas to and train Recruitment Coordinators regarding recruitment strategies, processes, public speaking, and representing the Child Welfare Agencies foster care program.
  • Identify training needs and provide training to RPM program.
  • Support current Share point tracking of Resource Families
  • Collect and disseminate data, outcomes and challenges.
  • Work with Central office staff to provide information and participate in development of Recruitment and Retention of Resource Parents in Idaho.
