Job Description:

Responsible for adhering to all rules and regulations associated with the NJCAA and the sport of men's and women's cross country. They have primary responsibility for recruiting and instructing eligible players in fundamental skills and strategies, organizing, implementing, coordinating and supervising all aspects of the team sport and for attending and running practices and games.

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree and two years high school or college coaching experience; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Knowledge of good practice pertaining to sport techniques, rules and regulations
  • Demonstrated strong leadership skills, organizational ability and effective teaching/coaching skills
  • Basic CPR/first aid knowledge and competence in athletics injury prevention
  • Demonstrated ability to work with a team and build team relationships
  • Proven ability to work with a diverse faculty, staff and student population
  • Possession of, or ability to readily obtain a valid driver's license
  • Previous coaching experience preferred

Additional Information:

Salary Range: $2,500.00-$4,000.00 based on experience (Seasonal)

Bunker Hill Community College (BHCC) is a multi-campus urban institution, its main campus situated in the historic Charlestown neighborhood of Boston, Massachusetts. A second campus is located in nearby Chelsea, Massachusetts; five satellites are located in the local communities of Cambridge, Chinatown, Revere, Somerville and Boston’s South End.

Founded in 1973 by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, BHCC enrolls more than 8,100 students in day, evening, weekend, web-based and distance learning courses and programs.
