Summary:The Department of Medicine, Division of Medical Oncology has a full-timefaculty opening with benefits as an Assistant Professor of Medicine, generalMedical Oncologist/Hematologist within the University of Colorado Cancer Center(UCCC) in the multidisciplinary Community Cancer Program.  The primary site of practice will be theCherry Creek clinic location offered at the new, state-of-the-art health center,located at 1st Avenue and Cook Street, will include comprehensive oncologytreatment opening in 2020.  Opportunitiesfor some cross coverage at the Highlands Ranch Medical Center/Hospital andpossibly Lone Tree Medical Center.

 

Responsibilitiesand Duties:

·        Diagnosticradiology services on-site and will practice full time incommunity facilities with a faculty appointment.

·        Infusioncenter and radiation oncology facilities are also on site.

·        Managesthe health care and completing clinical work seeingpatients daily; 1:4 call coverage forcommunity practice patients and Highlands Ranch Hospital;

·        Work with Service Line Director to expand the cancer practice;

·        AttendMulti-Departmental Clinics and CME Conferencesregularly;

·        Assistwith investigator-initiated, cooperativegroup/industry trials;

·        Involved in management of critical pathway and case managementacross the continuum of care;

·        Teammember providing healthcare, effectively interactingwith professional colleagues to provide comprehensive care as a responsibleclinic professional;

·        Attend via conference call monthly ClinicalAffairs meetings, tumor boards 1x/month, present Fellows Conference 1x/year, assist with Fellowship interviews;

·        Workwith Division Administrator on clinical data and other duties as assigned byDivision Head;

·        Maintains accurate,legible, and confidential medical records usingthe UCHealth EPIC system.

·        Forfinalist hire, credentialing thru UCHealth medical staff office is required.

QualificationsQualifications
Minimum Qualifications:-Licensed MD or DO from an accredited institution in U.S., or equivalent, must complete ECFMG certification and be qualified to obtain a temporary Colorado medical license.-Eligible to be credentialed by the institutional processes established for oversight for advanced professional medical practice.-Board certified in Oncology and/or Hematology.
Preferred Qualifications:-Prefer 3 years of experience in the Community setting in Medical Oncology and/or Hematology.
