Position Summary

Contribute to research on early life environmental exposures and child health as part of ongoing projects in the lab of Dr. Courtney Carignan at Michigan State University. Lead analysis and manuscripts on exposure assessment of environmental chemicals (i.e., flame retardants and PFAS) and their associations with infant and child health outcomes. This position offers the opportunity to work with a dedicated mentor in a supportive research environment, train in epidemiologic methods, exposure science, environmental epidemiology, and manuscript/grant writing, and pursue career development activities and present at professional conferences.

The initial appointment period will be for 1 year, with possibility of extension based on the successful achievement of work goals and the availability of funds.

Required Degree

Doctorate -Epidemiology, Environmental Health Scien

Minimum Requirements

Candidates must have an PhD in epidemiology, environmental health sciences, biostatistics, or related field. Programming and data management skills in SAS as well as excellent writing skills.

Desired Qualifications

Experience in reproductive and/or children’s environmental health research and statistical approaches to assess exposure mixtures.
