The Project Coordinator is a grant-funded position to assist the Child Development Center (CDC) Project Director with accomplishing project goals and objectives through the successful management of the day-to-day operations of the grant-funded CCAMPIS program. This position will lead the program operations and implement activities in collaboration with the CDC Project Director, develop and implement an outreach program for students enrolled at the College who have children (student parents) and assist them in the process of determining CCAMPIS eligibility and other child care financial assistance; develop marketing campaigns to promote the grant activities both on campus and in the community; maintain communication with other on-campus departments to further promote activities; ensure program compliance with CCAMPIS grant, Federal and State rules, regulations, policies and procedures as well as licensing requirements; prepare, review and monitor budget plans, reports and spend down funds; identify need for and prepare budget modifications; assist the Project Director with purchasing supplies and equipment following procedures according to grant regulations; assist with ongoing NAEYC Accreditation and other Early Childhood assessment programs; ensure that accurate program and participant files are maintained; prepare and submit required progress reports and outcomes to the funder in a timely manner; adheres to timelines, remains in budget and prepares for audits; and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Required: Associates degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development required; Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development preferred. Minimum of two years’ experience teaching children under age 6 years of age required. Successful candidate will be required to undergo a background check. Demonstrated knowledge of NAEYC accreditation and other assessment standards required. Experience with marketing and/or creating promotional materials preferred. Must have demonstrated ability to employ a balanced and positive approach to all work activities and work collaboratively across various constituencies of the College and with vendors and external constituencies. Exhibits strong skills in communication, customer and student focus, building relationships, organizing and planning. Must be driven to provide excellent customer service with ability to handle inquiries of diverse and multicultural students, staff, faculty and visitors with sensitivity and diplomacy. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment performing multiple tasks and projects while attending to the immediate needs of members of the campus community. Must be technologically proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel, as well as Gmail and internet research. Must be a detail oriented, self-starter with ability to work independently with little to no supervision and as a team in a collaborative manner. Must have ability to exercise good judgment, make routine decisions, as well as ability to understand and follow established protocols.
