Position Description:
The Campus Assault, Resources, & Education (CARE) Program provides trauma-informed advocacy services to survivors of sexual violence and sexual harassment (SVSH), which includes dating/domestic violence and stalking, SVSH prevention education and outreach programming to the campus community, as well as alternative healing programs to survivors of harassment, sexual violence, domestic/dating violence and stalking.
In alignment with the Student Affairs mission and direction; as well as the mission of the CARE Program, the Program Director assumes responsibility for the direction of the program; and establishes and prioritizes short and long range goals and measurable outcomes for program implementation, growth, and assessment. Furthermore, the Program Director assumes responsibility for the day to day planning, management, and coordination of CARE Programs and Services. Specifically, the incumbent develops and oversees trauma-informed and culturally relevant advocacy services and alternative healing programs. In addition, the director oversees the development and implementation of educational programs, workshops and presentations designed to target an increasingly diversified student population. The Program Director is knowledgeable about federal, state and campus policies and procedures, and provides consultative services regarding response to and prevention of sexual assault, dating and domestic violence, and stalking across campus. The CARE Program Director serves as a clinically trained advocate, prevention educator, resource coordinator and University spokesperson for campus-wide gender violence issues related to students, staff, faculty and the UCLA community.
The incumbent possesses a broad knowledge of federal, and state law, as well as university policies and procedures related to Title IX, and SVSH more broadly. The incumbent has a strong theoretical, and clinical foundation in sexual violence/sexual harassment, particularly in university settings. The incumbent also has specialized clinical expertise and knowledge of the effects of sexual assault on victims, survivor recovery, medical and legal procedures. The CARE Program Director is expected to act in a professional manner consistent with True BRUIN Values and directly responsible for supervision of staff and the education of students, staff and faculty.

The Director works collaboratively with various campus partners, including the Title IX Office, to ensure implementation of campus-wide sexual violence mandates
