The Institute for Behavioral Genetics at the University of Colorado Boulder is hiring research assistants to assist the PIs and research team with a study of academic, cognitive, and psychological functioning in twins. Study participants are twins and their parents. These are quarter-time (25%) weekend positions.

Who We AreThe Institute for Behavioral Genetics (IBG) is an organized research unit of the University of Colorado Graduate School dedicated to conducting and facilitating research on the genetic and environmental bases of individual differences in behavior. The Colorado Learning Disabilities Research Center (CLDRC) is a research study at the Institute for Behavioral Genetics at CU Boulder that is funded by the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute for Child Health and Human Development at the National Institutes of Health. The CLDRC focuses on twins, who provide a powerful and interesting way to understand how our genes and environment interact to impact learning and behavior in childhood and adolescence.What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

Work with school-aged twins and their parents to obtain informed consent and explain protocol. Administer standardized and non-standardized tests, assessments, and questionnaires. Score and enter study data, attend research meetings, and other tasks as assigned by project coordinator.

Weekend availability is required.

  • BA/BS in Psychology, Human Development, or other related field of study.
  • Prior research experience, preferably with children and families.
