Job FieldThe Division of Neurology, Department of Medicine, University Health Network/Sinai Health System (UHN/SHS) and University of Toronto are seeking to recruit a full-time Clinician Teacher with a focus on general neurology and women’s neurology to be based at Mount Sinai Hospital, SHS. The candidate must be eligible for a full-time clinical academic appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor. Effective start date is 1st May 2020.

The successful applicant will have clinical expertise in general neurology and will develop clinical services with a focus on neurological disorders of women at SHS and that align with the Department’s strategic plan. The successful candidate will participate in all clinical and academic activities of the UHN/SHS Neuroscience Program. Other clinical duties will include EMG/NCS expertise.

Teaching duties include postgraduate and undergraduate education. Academic appointment will be in the Division of Neurology, Department of Medicine, University of Toronto. Teaching excellence will be assessed by the presence of scholarly contributions to teaching and education as evidenced by pedagogical innovation, curriculum development, experience in teaching at the undergraduate and graduate level, and teaching awards.

The successful applicant must also hold an MD degree, a relevant master’s degree or equivalent, FRCPC qualifications in Neurology (or equivalent specialist designation) and have, or be eligible for, licensure in Ontario by the CPSO.

Estimated remuneration will be in the range of $225,000 - $250,000, commensurate with academic rank, qualifications and experience. Applications will be accepted until 1st January 2020.
