Job Summary The Student Accounts Rep operates the point of sale (POS) system for all cash, credit cards, scholarships, and inter- departmental sales; provides assistance to customers; checks and balances cash register receipts at close out time; assists with the day-to-day operation of the bookstore; assists with sales and promotional activities; assists with inventory counting; and performs other general clerical duties. Incumbent must maintain a high level of honesty and integrity in the performance of duties. This is a part-time position with up to 19 hours per week.

Responsibilities
    Process student payments daily.Prepare and reconcile all cash receipts at the end of the day to the AR posting report to ensure completeness and accuracy.Assist the Collections Coordinator and serve as primary back up for collection procedures and delinquent accounts.Assists in the process of mailing invoices to debtors of the college.Answer various student inquiries (in person, email, or via telephone).General accounting functions, such as journal entries, account reconciliation, and preparation of reportsAssist in other ad-hoc and administrative requests as needed, including filing, certified mail, etc.Performs other related duties as required.

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required. Preferred accounting diploma or Associate’s degree from an accredited institute. Supplemental college level courses in Business strongly preferred. Minimum of two years of experience in customer service, cashiering and merchandising, and a clear criminal background check record are required.
