Assistant Professor

The Department of Orthopedic Surgery at the University of Colorado in Aurora, Colorado is seeking a board certified/board eligible Orthopedic Surgeon with a sub-specialty in Hand surgery. All candidates must have completed a one year fellowship, have an interest in developing a clinical practice and research endeavors, and participate in our resident/fellowship education program. This position is based both at the University of Colorado, and the Veteran’s Affairs hospital on the CU Anschutz medical campus.


Examples of work Performed:

Clinicalresponsibilities include actively participating in continued growth of the HandSurgery programs at the University of Colorado Hospital and VeteransAdministration Hospital.  The candidatewill provide medical services in both the inpatient and outpatient environmentsat the University of Colorado Hospital and the VA Hospital. Teachingresponsibilities include participating in the education of Orthopedic Surgeryresidents, fellows, and medical students. Research Responsibilities includeactively pursuing and participating in research activities as well as mentoringresidents and other faculty in research endeavors. Academic rank and salarywill be commensurate with the level of expertise and academic credentials.

QualificationsMinimum Requirements:
  • Board certified/board eligible Orthopedic Surgeon with a sub-specialty in hand surgery. 
  • Must have training or extensive experience in hand surgery
  • All incumbents must have completed a one year hand fellowship 
  • 1-6 years related experience title (Assistant/Associate Professor) will be contingent on years of experience
