The Office of Medical Education’s mission is to enhance the education mission of Brody through evaluation and assessment of the curriculum while ensuring a high quality educational experience. The Office of Medical Education supports the process of accreditation, leadership in curriculum development, evaluation and assessments.

Job Duties

-Prepare the classroom for lecture delivery.
-Prepare the simulation center for laboratory exercises.
-Build the electronically administered exam using ExamSoft.
-Collect and organize student attendance daily using Turning Point Technologies.
-Assist with the development, organization and distribution of course materials including PowerPoint slides and handouts.
-Enter grades for assignments and tests into Blackboard.
-Assist with the development of a course syllabus.
-Send out access codes to each student before the start of Anatomy.
-Serve as a proctor for computer based exams.
-Reserve rooms.
-Send out reminder emails to clinicians who lecture in course 24 hours prior to scheduled lecture.
-Prepare laboratory for flipped classroom exercises.

Minimum Education/Experience

High school diploma or equivalency and one year of related office experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience.

License or Certification required by statute or regulation

Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. The ability to work independently and attention to detail. Proficiency in the use of Blackboard as well as basic Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Additional software used to facilitate the course (ExamSoft and Turning Point Technologies) are used in lecture delivery as well as the compilation, administration and grading of exams.
