Data Management Coordinator - School of Nursing & Health Studies

Requirements

Founded in 1903, the School of Nursing & Health Studies (NHS) has undergone prolific growth over the last five years, housing dynamic degree programs in the health sciences and aiming to promote health equity and improving population health locally, nationally, and globally. Guided by its Mission, Vision, and Values, the school offers academic programs at the bachelor's, master's, and doctoral levels. Our faculty comprises seasoned practitioners, researchers, scholars, and teachers. Our graduates are leaders and work in academe, the government and the military, and health systems and community-based organizations, to name a few areas.
The Data Management Coordinator provides oversight of application systems utilized by the NHS, creates of the departments' academic calendars, and completes responsibility for building the NURO academic course schedule three-four times per year. S/he oversees the management of each new submitted application, including incomplete in-progress applications. Reporting to the Assistant Director of Data Management, the Data Management Coordinator has additional duties that include but are not limited to:

Application Process Management
  • Masters and manages the application systems used within the NHS.
  • Manages each application once submitted, inclusive of in-progress incomplete applications and submitted but not yet complete applications.
  • Supports ongoing communications with in-progress applicants in order to encourage submission through drip campaigns and other mediums.
  • Oversees GPA calculations of submitted applications, and compiles completed applications, delivering them to respective review committees.
  • Collaborates closely with academic departments to ensure a smooth transition for applicant review and yield.
  • Inputs all final admissions decisions into student's official record.

NURO Course Schedule Build
  • Utilizes accurate enrollment numbers and past enrollment history to create accurate enrollment projections and build the course schedule based on those projections.
  • Works with faculty to ensure all built sections are accurately staffed and faculty are confirmed.
  • Inputs finalized schedule and faculty information into student information system (Banner).
  • Communicates with educational partners and university departments about the progress of the schedule build.
  • Manages student registration holds by placing holds on non-compliant students' records, removing holds when students come into compliance.
  • Makes changes in schedule as warranted by student enrollments.

Non-Traditional Academic Calendar Management
  • Coordinates with departments in order to build, maintain, and publish non-traditional calendars.
  • Works with campus stakeholders such as the Registrar's Office and Office of Student Financial Services to ensure calendars are in compliance with university and Department of Education regulations.
  • Communicates calendar changes to students and builds and pulls data reports as needed.

Requirements and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Direct experience working with student record systems, specifically Banner and Cognos
  • Familiarity with SalesForce CRM, Degree Works, and Apply Yourself
  • Strong organizational skills and precise attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple complex tasks simultaneously and respond to ever-changing environments comprised of a diverse group of stakeholders
  • Preferred candidates will have experience working in a rigorous higher educational setting, working with student records, academic calendars and the creation of academic schedule builds
