Position Summary

SAP HCM Project Lifecycle Support for Organizational Management and Personnel Administration, Benefits, Time and Payroll. Performs requirements analysis for new/revised requirements and issues/breaks. Gathers, documents, communicates, and validates requirements with business owners and stakeholders. Assists in designing solutions for enhancements, reports, interfaces, conversions, forms and workflow. Develops and maintains related internal documentation and provide knowledge transfer as required.

Conducts testing under direction of a team lead: performs functional unit testing, integration testing, payroll comparison testing and security role testing. Creates and executes test plans and scenarios to ensure comprehensive testing of new or changed system functionality and SAP support packs and enhancement packs.

Maintains SAP HCM enterprise software and related applications by configuring the system to update various information based on business cycles and/or requirements. Researches, evaluates, implements and tests SAP notes to remediates system issues and updates to comply with federal, state, and local legislation or technology changes. Assists in coordination of integration issues across HCM modules and external systems to analyze downstream impacts.

Supports SAP HCM users in central offices to resolve issues and provide ongoing guidance. Provides end user support for escalated issues requiring complex functional/technical knowledge.

Unit Specific Education/Experience/Skills

Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing a four-year college degree program in Human Resources Administration, Labor and Industrial Relations, Information Technologies or a related field; one to three years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience experience in the areas of accounting, payroll, human resources, data analysis, business process review and analysis, project management; experience with Human Capital Management (HCM) modules of SAP or an equivalent combination of education and experience..

Demonstrated strong analytical, reasoning and problem solving skills; research skills to gather and analyze cross-functional business processes; ability to translate business processes into functional technical specifications; competency in developing efficient and effective solutions to business problems; strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills with an ability to present and discuss functional and technical information in a way that establishes rapport, persuades others and gains understanding; higher education human resource experience; history of configuring SAP infotypes and tables; management of SAP development items through entire life cycle, from blueprinting through to delivery; ability to work collaboratively in a team environment; ability to manage multiple responsibilities and development items at a time; and ability to work under pressure and consistently meet deadlines.
