Assistant Professor of Neuroscience

Position Reports to: Chair of the Science Department and Dean of the School of Arts, Science and Business

Position Summary: Chatham University has an opening for an Assistant Professor of Neuroscience to begin Fall 2020. The candidate selected for this position will be responsible for teaching Neuroscience (with lab) for students in our graduate Physical Therapy and MS Biology program and other courses in candidate's area of expertise.

Qualifications:

• Completion of a Ph.D. in Neuroscience or a closely related field
• College-Level teaching experience and post-doctoral research is preferred
• Experience working with/teaching diverse groups/students
• We are looking for experience working with/teaching diverse groups/diverse students is desirable. Candidates should describe their experience in this arena in their cover letter and teaching statement.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Teaching 18 credit hours/ 6 courses over 9-months and advising students
• Engaging in research with an active scholarly agenda
• Participating in University and Department events and committees as needed
• Develop and Maintain an active research program
