Position Summary

NYU’s prestigious Leonard N. Stern School of Business has an exciting opportunity for a Planning and Academic Services Analyst within the Undergraduate College. Under the direction of the Assistant Dean and Director, the Analyst will collect, synthesize and analyze enrollment, demographic, course and financial data, including identifying trends and generating reports. This position will conduct statistical analyses of survey results and will summarize findings utilizing data visualization. S/he will manage the Course Faculty Evaluation process for all undergraduate courses, which involves faculty liaising, coordination with IT and the Registrar, and student outreach. The selected candidate will also work collaboratively with the Undergraduate College team and Stern Budget to troubleshoot budget processing issues, and with the Stern / NYU buildings and IT teams as an advocate for undergraduate computing needs and the maintenance of student/staff study, lounge and office spaces.

Qualifications

Candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree along with 2-3 years’ relevant experience in higher education administration and/or related student services or comparable administrative experience. At least one year of experience with data collection, retrieval, analysis, and reporting is required. Candidates must have excellent interpersonal, verbal, writing and quantitative skills. Strong attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously is required. S/he will have substantial experience with standard office software packages (i.e. Microsoft Office), ad hoc reporting tools (i.e. UDW+/OBIEE or similar), statistical packages (i.e. R, SPSS, MiniTab), and data visualization software (Tableau). Candidates with a degree in statistics, mathematics or related fields that emphasize quantitative research methods are preferred.
