Position Summary

The Hartford Institute for Geriatric Nursing (HIGN) at NYU Rory Meyers College of Nursing is committed to developing an inter-professional workforce that is competent in addressing issues of aging so that older people achieve optimal health and quality of life. HIGN is recognized around the globe for its online resources which assist practicing professionals, faculty and students to provide evidence-based care. The E-Learning Project Administrator will oversee our online learning projects, learning managing system, and our website to ensure content is current and publicly available. The incumbent will also be responsible for oversight of a rotating group of temps, consultants, and instructional design student workers hired on a project-by-project basis to create online modules.

 

Responsibilities Include:

  • Coordinate and manage online module creation and distribution. This involves: broad project planning; communicating and coordinating with subject matter experts (SMEs) to incorporate content into modules without losing appropriate meaning and learning outcomes; scheduling recording sessions and record approved scripts with voiceover talent; ensure modules are interactive and appropriate for target audience; ensure modules follow WCAG 2.0 guidelines for 508c compliance.
  • Prepare documentation for review, including scripts and continuing education paperwork; confirm correct branding and copyrighting are on all materials; onboard and manage temps, consultants, and student instructional designers (both graduate and undergraduate) that are hired on a project-by-project basis.
  • Manage e-Learning resources in the Learning Management System (LMS) and on website, including maintain record and knowledge of available resources, age of resources and continuing education requirements for resources.
  • Communicate with individual users and institutional contacts; authorize and process requests for LMS access and security permission; analyze, evaluate, diagnose all issues with LMS; generate reports on learner progress according to schedule and upon request; identify ways to market HIGN resources, and incorporate API integration for new online modules.
  • Oversee HIGN website to ensure content is current and publicly available, including updating information as needed and when requested, and managing URL domains.
  • Support and inform Executive and Associate Directors’ strategic planning and marketing initiatives, along with project support, and providing overall technical perspective and expertise on both proposals and current grant initiatives.
  • Coordinate mobile app creation and distribution by working with developers to ensure appropriate paths for app content and communicating with content experts to incorporate content into modules without losing appropriate meaning (as needed).
Qualifications

Required Education:Bachelor's DegreePreferred Education:Master's Degree in instructional design, education, educational technology or a related fieldRequired Experience:2+ years experience in the design and development of innovating curriculum design, project management experienceRequired Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Knowledge of/experience with: database/survey management systems (Qualtrics and Google Forms), learning management systems, e-Authoring tools (Articulate Storyline 360), web-based content management systems (Drupal), Adobe apps, including Illustrator, Design and Audition, Google apps, including Gmail, Calendar, Sheets and Docs. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, effectively manage time and meet deadlines, able to delegate tasks to team member appropriately, and a collaborate, team player.
