Position Summary

NYU Rory Meyers College of Nursing generates knowledge through research in nursing, health, interdisciplinary science, and educates leaders in nursing to advance healthcare locally and globally. We are currently seeking an Associate Director, Undergraduate Programs to join our team.  This dynamic individual will oversee academic and administrative operations for the College's Undergraduate Programs.

 

Responsibilities Include:

  • Manage the school-wide master schedule for all undergraduate courses. Evaluate course scheduling and make recommendations to Associate Dean and faculty for improvements that support the College’s goals.
  • Collaborate with various NYU groups on the development and implementation of new registration processes and systems to facilitate student enrollment. Secure part-time faculty for didactic courses as needed, and assist with faculty workload schedules.
  • Conduct data analysis and prepare reports for senior deans.
  • Plan budgets and monitor expenditures.
  • Represent the Associate Dean at major meetings for the Undergraduate Program.
  • Develop and supervise support staff.
Qualifications

Required Education:Bachelor's degree in a related field.Preferred Education:Master's degree in higher education, business, or counseling.Required Experience:5 years of increasingly responsible professional experience in academic administration including advising, providing student services. Must also include experience administering and supporting programs or events and staff supervision or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Preferred Experience:Budget management, complex scheduling, program management, conflict resolution.Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Ability to work independently to plan, develop and implement programs, and develop strategies to problem solve. Ability to interact with individuals at all organizational levels. Excellent organization, communication, presentation, writing, analysis, synthesis, and computer skills including expertise in Excel and Access. Familiarity with grant and budget preparation and student administration. Excellent knowledge of and ability to access SIS, People Soft, and use SPSS.
