DescriptionJob Purpose: Provide assistance and guidance to faculty and research staff in the preparation, processing and submitting of research grant and contract proposals. Monitor performance relative to grant and contract awards.

Major Responsibilities:
  • Participate in proposal preparation and processing through advising faculty and staff on submission process, compliance with government regulations and Institute policy.
  • Submit proposals to granting agencies using electronic research submission systems.
  • May negotiate or coordinate negotiations of contract or grant terms and conditions.
  • Coordinate approval process as required.
  • Interact with funding agencies to ensure compliance with applicable government regulations and Institute policy.
  • Monitor non-financial suspects of post award administration of grants and contracts; update records and perform related processing.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Work Experience: Two to three years experience in contract administration
  • Certifications:
  • Skills: This job requires knowledge of research grant and contract administration processes and practices and use of related software applications. Skill in contract negotiations and interpretation are required as in application and interpretation of applicable regulations.
