The Science and Mathematics Department at Texas A&M University – Central Texas is seeking applicants for biology adjunct instructor positions for the BS Biology program. Successful candidates will be expected to teach in various subdisciplines of biology (ecology, zoology, physiology, molecular/cell biology, etc). Enthusiasm for teaching and working with undergraduate students is essential. A Master’s degree in biology or related field is required, Ph.D. is preferred. Minimum qualifications: Master’s degree in biology or related field and undergraduate teaching experience
Preferred qualifications: Ph.D. in biology or related field
Job summary/Basic Function: Primarily responsible for the teaching/learning process. Adjunct instructors are hired to teach on a temporary and part-time basis. Adjunct instructors teaching courses for credit must meet the same requirements for professional and scholarly preparation as their full-time counterparts teaching in the same discipline.

Description of Job Responsibility/Duty:
100% - Teaches a variety of undergraduate level classes in the Biology program as needed. Writes syllabi for the courses to be taught using the approved format of the College of Arts and Sciences. Meets with students enrolled in their classes when students need additional assistance with class material and assignments.
Compensation: Commensurate, per class.
