About Bunker Hill Community College:

Bunker Hill Community College (BHCC) is a multi-campus institution with vibrant, urban campuses in Boston, Massachusetts, in nearby Chelsea, Massachusetts, and at several satellites and instructional sites throughout the Greater Boston area. The largest of the 15 community colleges in Massachusetts, BHCC serves some 18,000 students annually, focusing on holistic student services to ensure student retention and persistence. Job Description:

• Assist with grant related payment transactions;
• Review grant guidelines and assist with preparing grant fiscal reports;
• Assist with grant account opening and closing activities;
• Review and update grant database;
• Assist with monitoring grant budget activities;
• Maintain electronic and hard copy grant files;
• Assist with preparation for audit and program monitoring visits;
• Assist with day-to-day grant management operational issues and activities.

Requirements:

• Two years full-time or equivalent part-time accounting or financial administrative experience using computerized systems;
• Effective analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail in working with numbers and written information
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, and financial systems/databases
• Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication, and listening skills
• Ability to respond and work effectively and efficiently in a multi-tasking environment with deadlines
• A commitment to diversity and equal opportunity in education
• Proven ability to work with a diverse faculty, staff and student population

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate Degree or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration or Business Management preferred

Additional Information:

Salary: $1,799.63/bi-weekly
