Digital Marketing Analyst

Position Information:

Position Purpose

Hocking College is looking for a Digital Marketing Analyst to complete our Marketing, Public and Community Relations team. The ideal candidate will be highly strategic, comfortable with reviewing analytics and is able to communicate effectively and calmly, even under the pressure of deadlines. The position will focus on writing/editing, social media, marketing, photography, layout/design, and general marketing/communications.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support marketing team by creating, executing and managing marketing campaigns
  • Monitor, analyze and report on campaign performance
  • Manage loyalty and brand reputation programs
  • Develop, implement and track email marketing campaigns
  • Help build paid search and social media campaigns
  • Coordinate marketing and promotional calendars
  • Collaborate across departments to provide support for marketing initiatives
  • Conduct competitive market research.
  • Manage the Marketing Ticket System.
  • Additional duties in support of the above include basic design/layout skills, photography, and videography.
  • Uphold the highest ethical standards for communications professionals.

Position Requirements & Qualifications - Education, Experience, and Skills

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in marketing, media or related fields
  • Degree in marketing or relevant field preferred
  • Must have experience with copywriting and content creation
  • Experience with SEO strategies
  • Project management experience, highly desired
  • Familiarity with email marketing platforms, Mailchimp and/or HubSpot
  • Thrives in a collaborative, team environment
  • Works well in an environment that promotes autonomy
  • Quick learner and interested in continuous learning
  • Works well under pressure with tight deadlines and multiple projects

Knowledge and Abilities

Knowledge of: Principles of marketing; outreach; recruitment; community programs and organizations; community relations; public information and public relations; Correct English usage, grammar, spelling, punctuation, and vocabulary; Impeccable writing and editing skills and a thorough understanding of AP style.

Ability to: Operate a computer on both a Macintosh and PC platform, utilizing word processing, spreadsheet, database, graphic art/desktop publishing (Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator), multimedia, internet, web content management systems and e-mail software; Understand and follow oral and written directions; Ability to work with minimal direction and supervision; Establish and maintain effective working relationships with others; Work efficiently to meet multiple deadlines and timetables; Work cooperatively with colleagues and consultants to produce complex publications, and other documents; Plan and organize work; Work confidentially with discretion; Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
