These positions are for applicants who have an interest in learning to officiate intramural sports contests and events. Applicants should be willing to officiate 3 or more sports. Available sports to officiate include: basketball, broomball, volleyball, football, and soccer. Employees are allowed to participate in all intramural sports. Attendance at monthly staff meetings, participation in continuing education, and official training sessions is mandatory. First year students and current intramural participants are strongly encouraged to apply.
Days/Hours NeededApplicants should be willing to work approximately 10-12 hours per week. Shifts are 3-5 hours long and are generally scheduled between 6pm-midnight Mondays through Thursdays and 1pm-midnight on Sundays with some additional weekend/late-night event opportunities throughout the semester. Must be available for staff training session; date/time TBA.
Campus Location/Bldg.Assigned shifts may be located in the Student Life Center, the Lusk Field House, Park Center, the Stadium Complex, or the grass fields adjacent to Park Center.
Required QualificationsPreferred QualificationsExcellent communication skills and a flexible schedule desired. Previous experience officiating is a plus, but is not required for employment.
