General Description / Primary Purpose

The Department of Mathematics and Statistics in the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of North Florida (UNF) invites applicants to apply for an Instructor of Mathematics position. As one of the largest departments at UNF the Department has over 30 faculty members and offers several undergraduate and graduate programs of study. Our students are able to pursue the following degrees; B. S. in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Sciences, Discrete Analysis and a B.A. in Mathematics, Statistics, and Applied Mathematics. In addition, the Department offers a graduate degree of Master of Science in Mathematical Sciences with both Mathematics and Statistics tracks.

The appointment consists primarily of teaching lower-division courses and contributing to the department’s service mission. The academic-year teaching load is 24 credit hours.

Master Degree in Mathematical Sciences, Mathematics, Statistics, Teaching, or Education that includes at least 18 graduate semester hours in Mathematics. Two years of part-time or one year of full-time college teaching experience. Experience in teaching large lecture classes is preferred.
