Title:General Construction Instructor Job Category:Hourly and Temporary Department:Correctional Edu & Spec Popula - HCES Required Qualifications:

Provide course instruction to special populations;
Provide instruction and retention strategies to students in general construction: basic safety, materials handling, introduction to construction math, hand tools, power tools, construction drawings, communication skill, and employability skills;
Deliver class curriculum that fosters basic general construction skills for adult learners;
Encourage students to achieve personal outcomes and to become empowered in the basic construction field.

High School diploma required;
2 years work experience in construction or construction based organization;
Enjoys detail-oriented work and familiar with general construction;
Self-starter who caries through from planning to operations;
Ability to deal effectively and tactfully with students, faculty, and staff;
Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
