Position Summary:
Armstrong-Galley. The Food Service Worker conducts preparation of excellent food and exceptional service to maintain satisfaction among customers at the Dining Hall within Dining Services; offers support and direction to student and temporary employees as needed to maintain optimal performance. This position works up to 19 hours per week and is located on the Armstrong Campus in Savannah, Georgia.

Essential Functions

Monitors sanitation practices to ensure employees follow standards and regulations.

Waits on customers, takes orders, delivers and/or services food.

Performs cashier duties.

Stocks and receives merchandise.

Operates and cleans dishwasher.

Prepares, cooks and serves large amounts menu items.

Provides clean and sanitary cooking and preparation areas throughout work shift.

Georgia Southern University is a Tobacco Free Campus.

High School Diploma or equivalent

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Effective communication (verbal and written), organization and human relations skills; ability to work well in a diverse environment; proficiency with computer and Microsoft Office Applications software including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases; legally authorized to work in the United States; successful completion of background investigation prior to employment
