Position Description:
The CARE Administrative Specialist serves as the administrative coordinator for the Campus Assault Resources Education (CARE) office. The Campus Assault, Resources, & Education (CARE) Program provides trauma-informed advocacy services to survivors of sexual violence and sexual harassment (SVSH), which includes dating/domestic violence and stalking; SVSH prevention education and outreach programming to the campus community; as well as alternative healing programs to survivors of harassment, sexual violence, domestic/dating violence and stalking.
In this capacity, incumbent will provide infrastructural and logistics coordination, marketing, purchasing, reimbursements and budget support, as well as support for the day to day office operation of the CARE office, including scheduling CARE appointments and events using an electronic database . The incumbent will also be expected to provide basic presentations and workshops on the resources available at the CARE office at university functions and CARE outreach and prevention events and or provide administrative support for other staff performing these duties. The incumbent will also work with multiple CARE Student Interns to provide tabling coverage, as needed, for CARE outreach and prevention events
Work assigned requires full knowledge of the professional objectives and activities of the University and the Student Affairs Organization and some knowledge of the sensitivity needed to support persons in distress related to an experience of sexual harassment and/or sexual violence, dating/domestic violence or stalking..
