Position Summary

The Center for Spirituality and Social Justice (CSSJ) at St. Catherine University invites applications for a Catholic Priest Sacramental Minister. This is a part-time position working 5 hours per week. This position is responsible for the sacramental and pastoral support of the University community.

Responsibilities:
•Work and plan with the Liturgist, serve as Sacramental Minister for the University (4 hours).
•As a member of the CSSJ staff, participate in staffing meetings (1 hour).

Required Qualifications

Qualifications:
•Ordained Catholic Priest in good standing with the Catholic Church, with faculties to minister within the Archdiocese of St. Paul/Minneapolis.
•Demonstrated experience and interest in working with women and men of diverse cultural backgrounds, traditional-aged undergraduates, non-traditional aged undergraduate, and graduate students in individual and group settings.
•Knowledge and understanding of scripture, Catholic identity (including Catholic Social Teaching), Christian spirituality, theology, and human growth and development.
•Experience with the charism of the Sisters of St. Joseph, along with basic communication skills (especially listening), and retreat planning.
•Knowledge of and experience in young adult faith formation and development
•Preference for bilingual experience: Spanish, Hmong/SE Asian languages, French
