Job Description Summary

The Department of Communication, Media & Design at Clarkson University is seeking an adjunct instructor for DA100 Introduction to Digital Art: Time & Image (cross-listed with COMM100: Digital Design.) This introductory studio course explores key principles, techniques and dialogues governing the creative potential of digital technologies. Successful candidates will have technical proficiency in creative media software applications as well as a solid grounding in the principles governing art and design.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Terminal degree (MFA or PhD) in relevant field of study.
  • Proficiency in applications for digital imaging and time-based media (e.g. Adobe After Effects Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Photoshop.)
  • Understanding of the theories, historical contexts, and principles informing art & design.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum two-years teaching experience at the college-level.
  • Active track record of exhibition and/or publication.
