Enrollment Services Human Resources Generalist Job Number Full/Part Time Schedule Salary 201808143062 Full Time 8AM - 5PM $61,600 - $106,300 Position Information This position serves as the Human Resources Generalist supporting the Organization of Enrollment Services (ES). Reporting to the ES Chief Financial and Administrative Officer (CFAO), the HR Generalist is responsible for a variety of human resource functions in support of organizational human capital management. The HR Generalist advises and provides consultation to the CFAO and department directors regarding work force planning, salary actions, job descriptions, classification, full cycle recruitment, performance management, HR policy interpretation and application, and professional development. This position will provide analyses of human resources data as needed and report out to the Associate Vice Chancellor, Enrollment Services (AVC ES), the CFAO, and department management. The HR Generalist will be responsible for a high degree of collaboration and coordination in the delivery of HR Services to support the Enrollment Services organization, planning with central Human Resources, ES departments, Shared Services and other centralized university units. Minimum Requirements Demonstrates skill in prioritizing competing work assignments, employing political acumen and integrating information to determine appropriate courses of action and their implications.
Possesses strong analytical skills to conduct analysis and develop recommendations, demonstrating organization and problem-solving skills.
Ability to independently gather and analyze data, performing sound judgment and decision making.
Demonstrated ability to handle very difficult or volatile situations/individuals effectively.
Ability to extract data from systems and the ability to analyze, validate and prepare consolidated reports using tools such as pivot tables and formulas within Microsoft Excel.
Ability to organize work, establish priorities and meet deadlines.
Knowledge of a human resources management system (HRMS), and/or other related business software programs and systems.
Thorough knowledge of organizational policies and procedures, knowledge of functional area and understands how work may affect other areas.
Demonstrated analytical, active listening, and critical thinking skills.
Skilled in communicating clearly and effectively verbally and in writing.
Thorough knowledge of human resources concepts, policies and procedures, employment practices, labor relations, salary administration, training and other areas of human resources.
