The Office of Plans, Policies, and Analysis is seeking a detail-oriented student to support the Institutional Research office. In this role, the student worker will have the opportunity to work with data about GGC from many perspectives. Working with dedicated data professionals, the student worker will contribute to the office’s efforts while building skill in data management and visualization.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Assist with surveys and reports.?
  • Maintain files, mail letters, make copies, make phone calls, and fax documents.
  • Assist with data entry and data validation.
  • Assist staff with special projects as needed.
Minimum and Preferred Qualifications:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have a Federal Work-Study award and be in good academic standing?
  • Must be currently enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours and be able to handle confidential information
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Advanced computer skills
  • Ability to be self-organized
  • Knowledge of data visualization and computer programming is preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Position may require local travel. Ability to lift and carry files and materials. Ability to move from one office to another office on campus. Adequate vision, hearing and manual dexterity to interact with people in person, on the phone and in writing.
